Danny Hurley, born on January 16, 1973, is an American basketball coach who currently serves as the head coach of the UConn Huskies men's basketball team. His journey in basketball began at Seton Hall University, where he played as a guard from 1991 to 1995. During his junior season in 1993, Hurley faced personal struggles and decided to seek help, turning his life around and inspiring many.

Coaching Career

After graduating from Seton Hall, Hurley pursued a coaching career. He served as an assistant coach at Wagner College from 1997 to 2001 and at Rhode Island from 2001 to 2012. In 2012, Hurley was appointed as the head coach of the Wagner Seahawks, where he led the team to their first Northeast Conference regular-season title in over a decade. In 2018, he was hired as the head coach of the UConn Huskies, where he has continued to make a mark in the college basketball landscape.
